Random universe related thoughts

Universe is boundless, vast, has no end and no beginning. For universe, our planet earth is a tiny minuscule planet. Whatever we may think that we know about universe is still 1/million times of what the universe may actually comprise of. Every theory may fail at those large distances. For instance, the distance between two galaxies is in the ranges of a million light years.  A light year is the distance traveled by the light in one year. Light is so fast that it can cover 3 lakh kilometers in a second.
Till the time we hadn't discovered radio, communication satellites and airplanes, even earth used to look like a big giant planet. It used to take months and year to travel from one corner of earth to the other. But now with the advent of technology, world has become a global village. One can connect with his long distance friend with skype in seconds for free of cost. With supersonic and hypersonic planes it takes merely 5-6 hours to reach to the any corner of earth. Communication network has changed the way we used to live life in last 50 years or so.
Although technology has helped mankind to be more comfortable and long lived, it has also made mankind capable of destroying its own very existence. Recently, haters, anti-nationalists and terrorists have got their hands on technology and have started killing people for their own self interest. For them their own life is not worth it and they want to make everyone's life worthless. This word, HATE, needs to go from this planet. In future, every individual may become dangerous enough to kill 100 people if not thousand. We need to impart value education so that our own children don't become the threat to our own planet.
Love and compassion is the key to survive long. Affection for every individual irrespective of his creed, color or caste, respect for his views, respect for his identity. Without these qualities life will be violent and all will be lost which was created by our forefathers.
Talking about the universe, we wish to know any other civilization existing in any other planet in the universe who may at all resemble in intelligence or life to us. Even today the cost of launching a space probe is enormous. Landing on moon was one of the most ambitious of the missions. Our probes have visited almost all the planets of our solar system in search for life and till date there is no success. Imagine, there are millions of suns in this world and in them billions of planets where there could be possibilities of life or may be life would be existing.
Rather than hating if we start doing things and making world a better place then we are contributing to the progress of our civilization.

Post Covid 19 India : Survival Steps

One of the biggest setbacks in last 100 years the Indian subcontinent has faced is Corona virus pandemic. It has exposed how inefficiently the country was performing in terms of health care and migrant workers management. The already severe unemployment crisis has become the worse in decades. Migrant workers being forced to walk to the distances unimaginable during the peace time. The present Indian government, in spite of putting its best effort to manage the crisis has failed to perform as expected. The announcements of schemes like Atma nirbhar bharat in mid of a crisis is like hiding the truth behind a new veil. Corona virus has already spread in major part of the country now and looks like its vaccine is going to take some time at least 1 year if it comes at all, before it reaches to everyone. Till that time this mishandling and mismanagement is leading to a biggest setback which will take multiple years to recover. People and the country may be pushed to abject poverty and huge ...

Educated unemployed in India

One of the biggest challenge which our country is facing today is the educated unemployed/under employed.  Number of  graduates coming out of  the colleges are increasing every year. Competitive exam aspirants increase every year and also average number of attempts an aspirant takes for one opportunity/competitive exams are increasing. Number of job opportunities are not proportionately increasing at even at one third pace of the manner candidates are increasing. Survey reports say that one out of every three graduates upto the age of 29 are unemployed in India. 15 lakhs students pursue engineering degree every year. Only 10% of them get a job of even a slight satisfaction levels. Employers say that fresh engineering graduates are not fit enough to be hired as they lack certain basic skills & technical skills. A million engineers in India are struggling to get placed in an extremely challenging Job market. One fifth of them are at the risk of being unemployed. Frustr...

Managing Complexity

What could be possible strategy to manage complexity with ease? Step 1: The answer lies in the individuals habits. Its easy to miss the bus, friends b'day party, gym, train etc but the consequences of doing so in some cases may not be what we want them to be. One may reach late to the office one day but doing that repeatedly becomes a habit and that makes the person more weak in managing complexity. The person who has already developed some good habits of doing tasks on time, sleeping early, getting up early, taking care of health, family etc has mental peace and is ready to face any new challenge in terms of complexity in the future. Once the first step of aligning habits with career goals is achieved then comes the second step. Step 2: Breakdown and structure the complexity Many a times complexity as a whole may be solved by breaking down the problem into the small  problems and identifying the root causes of the small problems. Once we know the areas where the core prob...
